Winter Storywalk

Stroll up and down the east-to-west trail in the center of Penn Meadows Park for the North Liberty Library’s two-sided Storywalk, featuring Ten Ways to Hear the Snow and Let’s Celebrate: Special Days Around the World. The storyboards will be up Jan. 28 through the end of February. On Sunday Jan. 30, the boards will be lit during the Fire & Ice event festivities.

Ten Ways to Hear the Snow by Cathy Camper
A snowy day, a trip to Grandma’s, time spent cooking with one another, and space to pause and discover the world around you come together to explore mindfulness, empathy, and what we realize when the world gets quiet.

Let’s Celebrate: Special Days Around the World by Kate Depalma 
A child’s-eye view of 13 special days around the world, such as the Spring Festival, Inti Raymi, Eid al-Fitr, Día de Muertos and the New Yam Festival.
