My life as an Olympic bobsledder
January 31 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
A talk and Q&A with Olympic bobsledder, World Cup Champion, Two-Time World Championship silver medalist, and North Liberty resident, Jean Prahm. Prahm competed in the 2002 and 2006 Winter Olympics, and has served on the Olympic selection committee or the board of directors since.
Hear what drew her to the sport as a teenager, what it was like to make history as a member of the women’s bobsledding team in 2002–when it made its debut as an Olympic sport, and what role bobsledding plays in her life now. There will be time for your questions, too.
This event is free, kid-friendly, and will take place at the North Liberty CoLab, located off of Ranshaw Way behind Wig & Pen Pizza.
