Friday night is FREE family night at Beat the Bitter and it’s all about the fire and ice. After school take the kiddos straight to Penn Meadows Park before the sun goes down for horse drawn carriage rides and hot chocolate. The ice queen herself, Elsa, and her sister Princess Anna from Disney’s Frozen, will even be joining the fun.
Bundle up and bring along blankets–or maybe even your sled to sit in–for our winter fireworks show starting at 7 p.m! Afterwards gather with friends and neighbors around the community bonfire that will be lit as soon as the sun goes down and blaze until 9 p.m.
All events subject to change pending weather.
|3 p.m.||Winter Weatherdance
Weather permitting, architects from OPN Architects will bring frozen foams to life. Unfortunately, the wind and sun conditions this afternoon prevented the structure from freezing correctly and this activity is cancelled.
|3:30 – 5:30 p.m.||Horse drawn carriage rides
Enjoy a magical ride around the park in the comfort an antique trolley provided by Country Gentleman’s Horse and Carriage. The carriage will load by the gazebo in the southwest corner of the park.
|4 – 6 p.m.||Meet & Greet with Queen Elsa and Princess Anna
Queen Elsa and Princess Anna will be available for pictures and a meet & greet in the Penn Meadows Park pavilion.
