Organized by the North Liberty Boy Scout Troop 216, the annual chili supper is back for its 37th year from 4:30 to 7 p.m.on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the North Liberty Community Center. Warm up after an afternoon of winter games in Penn Meadows
Park Tundra or fill up before heading out on the Snuggie Bar Crawl (the trolley will start at the Community Center at 7 p.m.).
The Chili Supper is the troop’s primary fundraiser for the year, with funds going to provide the Scouts with experiences that they will learn from and look back on throughout their life.
Your $5 donation includes all the homemade meat or veggie chili you care to eat, toppings, bread, drinks, and homemade desserts, featuring Dutch oven cobblers fixed on site. Snag your ticket in advance through their door-to-door sales in January, at Scout-run stands at select North Liberty retailers, and at the door on the night of the Supper. Children 5 and under are free.
